Forecast Rain {Boots}

What I'm Wearing:
Bobeau Sweater {old, similar here and here}// Black Jeans // Splendid Tank // Prada Bag // Hunter Boots

It felt like we were experiencing a hurricane last Friday morning!  Of course, when the rain comes we Californians are always so dramatic.  The bad news is that people drive like crazy and the freeways are usually in a state of standstill, but the good news is that I get to wear my Hunter rain boots.  You see, we don't get a lot of opportunity to appropriately show them off here, so when even just a drop falls, these babies are definitely on display.

It's suppose to rain a lot this week, so I'll be ready.  Been awhile since we've endured long rainy days and I think its such a good excuse to just lazy around with hot cocoa and PJs! :)  Hope you all have a good week...be safe out there!

Weekend Attire {Wedged Bootie}

Outfit Details:
J. Crew Jacket {old, similar here and here} // Black leggings // H&M Scarf {old, love this and this} // Express Cuffed wedge Bootie {On Sale NOW}

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!  Seriously the holiday weekend went by too fast!  It was nice to celebrate with family, start our holiday shopping and just lazy around with the Hubbs and Baby J.

If haven’t noticed, I don’t do flats very well….like ever.  Not really even on weekends.  I prefer heels and anything that gives me a little more height.  What’s that saying….”the higher the heel, the closer to God”, right?  Well, I’d like to be very close to the Lord.  :)  But running around with a new baby makes it a bit more difficult to wear cute heels, so I love wedges.  Its the next best thing! I scored this wedge bootie at Express on Black Friday! They are pretty comfortable, perfect for casual weekends, and the faux suede makes it look high end.

What are your favorite weekend comfy shoes?

XOXO,

Lydia

Minis & Booties

Outfit Details:
H&M Dress {old} // Trouve Vest {similar here}// Vince Camuto Booties // Celine Bag // D&G Sunglasses

Happy Thanksgiving {Eve}.  I'm super excited to hang with family tomorrow and chow down on a big feast!  Post baby diet will of course resume next week.  This year, we have a new member to our family so its an extra special Thanksgiving with definitely more to be grateful for!

This weather is seriously confusing me.  It was in the high 70s today.  Although it is somewhat nice that the temps still deems mini dresses appropriate.  Only in Southern Cali, right?  I'm loving vests at the moment - pulls together any outfit and adds a bit of chic without being overly dressy. This vest is recent purchase from Nordstrom.  Its length and structure fits a dressy or casual ensemble.

In other news, I'm mapping out my Black Friday attack plan.  I'm excited and stressed just thinking about the madness...

Fall Scarves and Vegan Leather

Outfit Details:
Sandra Ingrish Tunic // Faux Leather Pants // Michael Stars Scarf {old, love this one} // Celine Bag // Ivanka Trump Pumps

Fall weather still comes and goes here in Southern California.  In fact, it's still quite warm for November.  But minor details like weather is not going to stop me from dressing for the season! I especially love big cozy scarfs this time of year.  This grey and black scarf has been my go to the last few weeks...it goes with everything.  Also my go-to as of late is button up tops.  You know, for easy access to Little J's milk station.  Having a baby adds another layer of consideration when dressing oneself.  Gone are the days where I can just thrown on anything I want.  Now I have to consider not only style but convenience and utility for breastfeeding.  Ahh motherhood!

Have a great Monday y'all!

Fall must haves

The cool mornings are finally here! Nothing says fall more then cosy clothes and hot drinks.  Here are a few of my favorite things this fall.  I'm loving the simple gold leaf necklaces paired with the floppy felt hat (burgundy seems to be the color of the season).

Black on Black {Polka Dots}

The more pregnant I get, the more black I want to wear.  Maybe because my wardrobe options are starting to diminish even more now that I'm close to the finish line.  I love having this bump as an accessory, but gosh, I am so ready to fit in regular clothes again.

I wore this outfit to work today!  The classic black pumps add a more dressy, professional look, although they only lasted through my first morning meeting and then the flats came on! Usually, my number one rule for maternity dressing is good fitted clothes - basically showcase the bump! Otherwise, you'll just look extra round and frumpy.  But seriously, being 8 months preggo in this crazy SoCal heat, anything goes. This black cotton poka dot Zara top is not quite so fitted (even though its non-maternity), but its super comfy!  It is still flowy around my bump which is amazing.

What I'm wearing:
Zara top (Old) // Zara Leggings // YSL Cabas Chyc (Old) // Alice + Olivia Suede Pumps // Ray Ban Mirrored Aviator sunglasses // Forever 21 Necklace (Old)

Have a great Thursday!  Its almost the weekend...

Sunday Style

One of the most annoying pregnancy symptom is swollen feet; especially if you're like me and love to wear high heels, and well...cute shoes in general.  But sometimes, you gotta give in to your body and give those little piggies a rest!  I don't own a lot of flats so these Zara beauties are currently on repeat.

I had a lot of business meetings last week which requires a bit more effort in stylish corporate dressing, so this weekend I opted for a demure and comfy look.  You'll soon notice I'm totally obsessed with white blazers.  Dress them up, dress them down, it seriously works all around!!  I love this one from H&M - the buttons and and collarless structure makes it casual and nautical feeling.  Its perfect for a low key Sunday!  And I don't care - whether its appropriate or not, I will totally continue to wear white through Fall.

What's your Sunday Style?
