Welcome to our blog!  Lydia and Suzanne, here.  

We are two women from two very different backgrounds, and two very different personalities.   What we do share are good family values and a huge appreciation for the good lives we live.  We started this blog to share our passions and express our individual creativity.  We hope you enjoy our unique point of views and mutual enthusiasm for LYFE!

Modern Lyfe blog promises to share snapshots of a good LYFE.  We strive to offer fun and stylish inspiration in Food & Wine, Fashion, Health and Adventures from Around the World.  

Here’s more about US:

Suzanne was born and raised in Rochester, NY, the youngest of two. She studied cosmetology right out of high school and soon after packed her bags and headed across the country {to LA}. Fear is definitely not in her vocabulary.  She has enjoyed working with in the beauty industry for over 10 years.

She enjoys being active {LOVES Pilates and any activity outdoors}, but also looks forward to lazy Sundays with her new husband and their dog Vince. She enjoys traveling but has not logged the hours Lydia has J Suzanne is a self-taught cook and loves to make healthier versions of any home-cooked favorites - always trying something new or adding a substitution here or there.

Interesting fact: Horse lover & rider since the age of 5

Favorite Food: Pizza

Would travel to: Greek islands

One Day: Go to the Kentucky Derby

Lydia grew up in Southern California in a small city East of Los Angeles {anyone heard of Upland?!}.  She went to college in Orange County and decided to never trade in the warm ocean breeze for the bustling big cities.  She has spent a majority her professional career in corporate marketing, but her true love lies in fashion, food and traveling the world...and of course, her husband of 3 years!  

She has visited over 22 countries and hopes to collect more passport stamps in the years to come.  You can usually find Lydia running by the beach, shopping at Fashion Island or hanging out with her cute little nieces.  

Interesting fact: I was born in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Favorite Food: I'm a girl who loves a good burger and fries {sweet potato if available}.

Would travel to....Australia in a heartbeat!

One Day ...I will sit front row at Paris Fashion Week and swim in Iceland's Blue Lagoon.
